Why Are Pro-Life Leaders Thrilled With RFK Jr. and Trump’s “Pro-Life” Stance?
Another day, another reason why the pro-life movement continues to fail the unborn.
Recently, pro-life leaders have been celebrating RFK Jr. for his stance on abortion—one that mirrors Donald Trump’s so-called “pro-life” position. The argument is that, even though RFK Jr. is “personally pro-abortion”, he opposes 1.2 million abortions every year and supports restrictions on late-term abortion.
This is being treated as a victory.
But is it? Or is it just another example of the pro-life movement’s willingness to compromise at the expense of innocent human lives?
Trump’s “Pro-Life” Stance Promotes Abortion
RFK Jr. has openly borrowed Trump’s stance on abortion, and pro-life leaders are welcoming it. But let’s take a closer look at what that stance actually allows:
Trump opposes late-term abortion but supports exceptions for rape, incest, and “life of the mother.”
92.7% of all abortions happen in the first trimester (CDC, 2021).
Only 1.3% of abortions are for rape or incest (Guttmacher Institute, 2023).
That means Trump and RFK Jr. support up to 98% of all abortions in America.
This is not pro-life. This is simply a pro-choice stance with a time limit.
Yet, instead of calling them to repent of their support for abortion, pro-life leaders are applauding them—further proving that the pro-life movement is about managing abortion, not abolishing it.
Pro-Life Leaders Will Not Criminalize Abortion Pills
The biggest killer of preborn children today is not surgical abortion—it’s the abortion pill, which is now available in all 50 states and accounts for over 60% of abortions in America.
This means that every day, women willfully murder their unborn children in the privacy of their own homes. And yet, Trump and RFK Jr. have no plan to criminalize this.
Even worse, pro-life leaders refuse to demand that these women be held accountable. Instead, they call them “victims,” just like they have for decades.
How can mothers who knowingly, with full intent, poison their own babies be called victims? This is not justice—it is legalized murder.
Abortion will never end until it is criminalized for everyone involved, just as slavery did not end until it was a crime to buy, sell, or own a human being.
Pro-Life Leadership: The Biggest Obstacle to Abolition
For decades, the pro-life movement has blocked every abolition bill that has been introduced. Over 150 pro-life organizations have publicly opposed bills of equal protection—bills that would treat abortion as murder and hold all parties accountable.
Why?
Because the pro-life movement is a multi-million-dollar industry. Many pro-life organizations raise millions of dollars every year while their CEOs collect six-figure salaries. If abortion were abolished, their power, money, and influence would disappear.
As William Lloyd Garrison said of the so-called “anti-slavery” moderates of his day:
“They attempt to regulate the sin, not to destroy it.”
This is exactly what pro-life leaders do today.
Trump and RFK Jr. Support IVF: Another Form of Child Sacrifice
Trump has fully endorsed in vitro fertilization (IVF), a practice that:
Keeps thousands of babies frozen indefinitely.
Discards countless embryos as medical waste.
Uses human embryos for genetic research and experimentation.
For every live baby born through IVF, 29 embryos are discarded or killed. This is eugenics. This is mass murder.
Yet Trump is not only okay with it—he actively supports it. And RFK Jr. has not opposed it either.
Why Aren’t You Calling Them to Repentance?
So here’s my question to the pro-life movement:
Why are you applauding these men instead of calling them to repentance?
Why are you more interested in political victories than in truth and justice?
Why do you refuse to warn them that God’s wrath is upon all unrepentant murderers? (Revelation 21:8)
The Bible does not tell us to regulate sin. It tells us to establish justice (Micah 6:8, Psalm 82:3-4). It does not tell us to strategize incremental steps toward righteousness. It tells us to rescue those being led to the slaughter (Proverbs 24:11-12).
Pro-life leaders need to repent of their failed, compromised movement and start fighting for equal justice and equal protection for the unborn. Until that happens, the pro-life movement will remain one of the biggest obstacles to the abolition of abortion.
Abolition, Not Regulation
The Connecticut Foundation to Abolish Abortion (www.AbolishAbortionCT.org) is dedicated to ending abortion, not managing it.
We, along with abolitionist groups around the country that hold to the Norman, Oklahoma Statement and the Five Tenets of Abolitionism, will continue to call for justice, repentance, and the complete criminalization of abortion as murder.
May God have mercy on us all—but especially on the innocent children being slaughtered every day in every state while the pro-life movement cheers for politicians who keep abortion legal.
Abortion Must Be Abolished.
